Where your thoughts go, energy flows, life grows

Thoughts and feelings shape your intellect, which then become habits, routines or impressions.

Essentially, all day, every day, you are creating thoughts. Some insignificant, some unnecessary and some are created and form deeper grooves in the shape of you.

You create the thought and when it’s paired with an emotion or experience, that then travels to the part of your brain where intellect comes in. The intellect then decides whether the thought is relevant and truthful, or insignificant. If insignificant, the thought is let go. But if it does find truth, the body stores that thought and the experience, creating a mental impression.

Without awareness, these patterns quietly become automatic and unconscious. But with intention, they can be transformed.

By recognising these impressions, you can use that power to change them.

Becoming self-aware helps you to understand why you think the way you do and from there you can learn to undo the negative imprints and replace them with positive ones. Affectively, re-wiring your brain. These impressions shape who you are and what you become.

Thoughts become things and your internal world creates your external experience.

If you are in a constant state of thinking ‘I’m stressed’ ‘I’m angry’, your body and mind will remain in that state.  Release the strength from the impressions by not giving them power. Switching your mindset to ‘I’m calm, even in tough situations’ ‘I can handle anything that comes my way’ your system begins to calm and your behaviour follows.

Your mind is always listening.

Your body is always responding.

When a thought comes into your mind that is negative, try first to attach love to it, re-word your thoughts, replace the negativity with positivity and release the thought. Next time a negative thought returns, which it will, it would have lost some of it’s strength and cannot hold the power to make it past your intellect.

Through practicing mindfulness, we can create positive patterns and lasting uplifting impressions that reshape the way we think and ultimately feel. You can expand on this practice by reading affirmations, carving out time for daily meditation and journaling.

It’s not about changing who you are, it is about returning to who you have always been.
