Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 19 August 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to purchases of digital products and bookings for online and in-person events offered by Idyll.
Please read these Terms carefully before making a purchase or booking. By purchasing a product or booking an event, you agree to these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. About Idyll
Idyll is operated by IDYLL YOU, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.
Email: contact@idyllyou.com
Website: www.idyllyou.com
If you have any questions about these Terms, please contact us using the details above.
2. Our Products and Events
Idyll may offer:
-
digital products, including workbooks, journals, guides, downloads and other digital resources;
-
online events, workshops, sessions or experiences; and
-
in-person events, workshops, gatherings and experiences.
The specific details, price and inclusions of each product or event will be provided on the relevant product, booking or event page.
We aim to ensure that descriptions and images are accurate. However, colours and appearance may vary slightly depending on your device or screen settings.
3. Making a Purchase or Booking
When you place an order or make a booking, you are offering to purchase the relevant product or event place subject to these Terms.
You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide during checkout or booking is accurate and complete.
A contract between you and Idyll will be formed when we accept your order or booking and send you confirmation.
If we are unable to accept your order or booking, we will let you know and, where payment has already been taken, arrange an appropriate refund.
4. Prices and Payment
Prices will be displayed on the website at the time of purchase or booking.
Payment must be made using one of the payment methods offered at checkout.
Where applicable, prices will state whether taxes or other charges are included.
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. Any price change will not affect an order or booking that has already been accepted.
5. Digital Products
Digital products may include downloadable or online materials such as workbooks, journal companions, guides, templates or other resources.
Unless otherwise stated, digital products are supplied for your personal, non-commercial use only.
You must not:
-
reproduce or distribute a digital product except for your own personal use;
-
share purchased files or access links with another person;
-
resell, sublicense or commercially distribute any Idyll digital product;
-
upload or make the product publicly available online; or
-
claim any Idyll content or materials as your own.
All intellectual property rights in Idyll digital products remain with Idyll or the relevant rights holder.
6. Digital Products and Cancellation Rights
Where you purchase digital content online, you may have a legal right to cancel your purchase within 14 days.
However, where you ask us to provide digital content immediately, you may be asked to expressly consent to the supply beginning during the cancellation period and acknowledge that you will lose your right to cancel once supply of the digital content begins.
Where the legal requirements for this have been satisfied and access to or downloading of the digital product has begun, you will no longer have the statutory right to cancel simply because you have changed your mind.
This does not affect your statutory rights where digital content is faulty, not as described or otherwise does not comply with applicable consumer law.
If you experience a technical problem accessing a digital product, please contact us so that we can try to resolve the issue.
7. In-Person Events
Details of each in-person event, including the date, time, location, price and what is included, will be stated on the relevant event page or booking information.
You are responsible for ensuring that you are able to attend the event before booking.
Please arrive at the time specified in your booking information. We cannot guarantee that late arrivals will be able to participate in all elements of an event.
Unless otherwise stated, travel, accommodation and other personal expenses are not included in the event price.
8. Online Events
For online events, you are responsible for ensuring that you have:
-
a suitable device;
-
a reliable internet connection; and
-
access to any software or platform specified in the event information.
Any joining link or access information provided to you is for your personal use and should not be shared unless we expressly allow this.
We cannot be responsible for technical problems relating to your own device, internet connection or equipment.
If a technical problem on our side materially prevents an online event from taking place, we will take reasonable steps to provide an alternative arrangement, reschedule the event or provide an appropriate refund.
9. Cancelling Your Event Booking
Any specific cancellation terms applicable to an event will be clearly communicated when you book.
Where you have a statutory right to cancel an online booking, that right will apply in accordance with applicable consumer law.
Where no statutory cancellation right applies, any refund, credit or transfer offered for a customer cancellation will be subject to the cancellation policy stated for that particular event.
Where possible, we ask that you contact us as soon as you know that you will be unable to attend.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
10. If Idyll Cancels or Changes an Event
Occasionally, circumstances outside our reasonable control may mean that we need to change, postpone or cancel an event.
Where an event is cancelled by Idyll, we will offer an appropriate refund of the amount paid for the affected booking unless you choose to transfer your booking to a rescheduled event or another option we offer.
If an event needs to be rescheduled, we will provide details of the new date and explain the options available to you.
We may also make reasonable changes to event timings, venues, facilitators, activities or content where necessary.
Where a significant change materially affects the event you booked, we will provide an appropriate option in accordance with your legal rights.
Idyll will not normally be responsible for additional costs you incur in connection with attending an event, such as travel or accommodation, except where the law requires otherwise.
11. Health, Wellbeing and Participation
Some Idyll events and materials may involve activities such as guided journalling, meditation, mindfulness, reflection, gentle wellbeing practices or group discussion.
These activities are intended for general wellbeing, personal reflection and educational purposes only.
Idyll does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic or other regulated healthcare advice or treatment.
You are responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for you and may choose not to participate in any element of an event.
If you have concerns about whether an activity is suitable for you, you should seek appropriate professional advice where necessary.
12. Behaviour at Events
We want Idyll events to be welcoming and respectful environments.
We may ask an attendee to leave an event where their behaviour is threatening, abusive, discriminatory, seriously disruptive or otherwise creates an unreasonable risk to the safety or wellbeing of other attendees, facilitators or venue staff.
Whether a refund is appropriate in those circumstances will depend on the situation and your applicable legal rights.
13. Photography and Content at Events
We may occasionally wish to take photographs or video at an Idyll event for use on our website, social media or promotional materials.
Where identifiable attendees are the focus of photography or video, we will seek appropriate permission where required.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or video, please let us know.
Attendees must respect the privacy of others and should not record or photograph other participants in a way that is intrusive or inappropriate.
14. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the content, materials, branding, written resources, event materials, digital products, graphics and other intellectual property provided by Idyll belong to Idyll or are used with permission.
Purchasing a product or attending an event does not transfer ownership of that intellectual property to you.
Materials are provided for your personal use unless we expressly agree otherwise.
15. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or restricted under applicable law.
Subject to your statutory rights, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for losses resulting from circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If you are purchasing as a consumer, these Terms do not exclude any rights or remedies available to you under applicable consumer law.
16. Personal Information
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Please refer to the Privacy Policy on the Idyll website for information about how we collect, use and protect personal information.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example where our products, events, business practices or applicable laws change.
The Terms that apply to your purchase or booking will normally be those in force when the relevant contract is formed.
The latest version will be available on our website.
18. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to your contract in the United Kingdom.
If you are a consumer, you will retain any mandatory rights you have regarding where legal proceedings may be brought.
